My entire graduate school thesis published this year, (February 2011) was on the initiatic path or the process of individuation according to Carl G. Jung, the founder of modern psychoanalysis. My thesis is entitled, Alchemy of the Soul, Parzival and the Quest for the Holy Grail.

In the Introduction I quote Jung (1971)regarding the process of initiation and individuation.

The ways that lead to conscious realization are many, but they follow definite laws. In general, the change begins with the onset of the second half of life. The middle period of life is a time of enormous psychological importance ... The will of the individual becomes more and more identical with the natural goals pursued by unconscious motivations...First it was passion, then it became duty, and finally an intolerable burden, a vampire that battens on the life of its creator. Middle life is the moment of greatest unfolding, when a man still gives himself to his work with his whole strength and his whole will. But in this very moment evening is born, and the second half of life begins. Passion now changes her face and is called duty; "I want" becomes the inexorable "I must,"....

At this time in my life, as I am in the second half of life, I understand that "I must" complete my cycles of initiation as Elizabeth C. Prophet described in the Cosmic Clock. There is only so much time we have alloted in our lifetime to balance karma and enter into the Ascension spiral. Looking at where I stand on the clock I realize that my Quest for the Holy Grail or individuation, consciousness, enlightenment is coming to its final rounds of initiation. It is exciting and daunting. It is a labyrinth of testing, returning and at times getting lost, just like the Arthurian legendary knight Parzival in search of the Holy Grail. Only the pure in heart shall achieve it. Holding fast to the center of my God-identity is the only way to claim my victory in the end.

I began to answer question1 for our home work assignment, and somehow in the process found myself with a small book. After hours of retrospective journaling I was left with the realization that initiation is a process, and for me it has been a lifetime process.
I have also realized that mastering Constancy and Emotional Balance have been and continue to be initations for me.

I found myself starting to use the word "striving" many times is this long "discourse" that I wrote, and decided to replace it with the word Mastery as a more conscious choice. This realization showed me that I am making progress on the Path. At least one word at a time!
Blessings.

I read a quote about the ascension path that made a lot of sense to me years ago. The quote went something like this, "Before we ascend we chop wood and carry water. After we ascend we chop wood and carry water but with joy!"

I hope I am beyond the delusion of who I really am. I Am one with my I Am Presence. I Am a co-creator with God the Creator. I Am learning through the Heart Center how to exercise more of my co-creative abilities.

Heaven and earth are one, spirit and matter are one. My heart and my mind are part of the divine and meant to express joy and freedom. My physical body is divine. I am learning mastery over my body and environment. I seek tools that will assist me to continue the ascension process.

I just interviewed Jackie Lapin on my BBS Radio Show Return to Shamballa who wrote another book on creation. Her first book was Conscious Creation which was #1 on the Amazon.com list. Her new book is a follow up entitled Practical Conscious Creation: Daily Techniques to Manifest Your Desires.

There are so many tools out there and what works for me may not work for others. When I first started my position 3 years ago in special education (I have been teaching for 31 years) at a public school in Tucson I was given a very small room with no windows, a table and a file cabinet. A year later I had a large regular classroom filled with colorful materials, toys for my preschoolers, and so on. Last month when a new supervisor came by she said it was the most organized and facilitative room she had ever seen. She told the therapy company in Penn. about my room and they sent me a hugh box of brand new decorations for Fall. Now my room reflects the beautiful colors of Fall and all the fun that Fall brings to our lives.

My principal is wonderful. He was going to be a catholic priest but decided to go into education. I have seen him transform the so called "bad boys" of the school into boys that the parents can be proud of. Once again I have to say I created him and he created me. We had a spec. ed teacher that was way ready for retirement and was always complaining about things and not very positive. Finally this year she has been replaced by the most wonderful spec ed. learning disabilities teacher you would ever want to work with. Again, I created her and she created me. I enjoy teaching there. All the children know me, say hi to me, wave to me, hug me. I have great joy there. We will transform education from the inside out not by going off to private schools, charter schools etc. We can bring about positive change in all of the institutions that already exist because we are all One. I chop wood and carry water with more and more joy!!

I see the initiatic path as the path of our spiritual growth. I think the initiations happen naturally, yet I believe we can choose to take more initiations and grow spiritually more quickly if we like. It’s not quite like physical growth, which has a “set” growth. Spiritual growth on the initiatic path has an element of freewill.

Part of our spiritual growth is our return of karma that is used to teach us important lessons. I think many of us see the return of karma as the initiatic path. I think the initiatic path must be more that just the return of karma. We know of Masters and Saints going through higher initiations for greater levels of God awareness. (At the Washington DC conference recently Saint Germain said that he received cosmic consciousness at the altar of God meditating on his soul.) So the initiatic path is more than negative karma returning in the form of tests.

I see myself on this beautiful eternal continuum of spiritual growth called “Initiation”. I feel that I am at a point where I am becoming more conscious. I believe my time spent in the Summit Lighthouse was a time that I was taking in the teachings as if I was in the ‘absorbent mind” period of spiritual growth. I now find myself more consciously co-creating. In the process of co-creating I have also taken more responsibility as to what occurs to me rather than blaming negative happenings on dark forces outside of myself. I am beginning to see negative problems as opportunities to co-create.

I will say that in answer to this question, I know that there are many roads left to travel. I also feel that I have made much progress in passing tests and I do try to look at every opportunity as a learning experience and not just a random situation. I also am so very grateful to be where I am in time and space and consciousness and to have the opportunity to know all of you. It is exciting to be here now. Thanks to Cheryl and Mother and David for a great class!
