I had a similar idea that same morning-an HC Cookbook: "Cooking with Light." Everyone could enter favorite healthy recipes and healthy living tips. They could also include a picture or pictures of the recipe or health item and or a picture of themselves. Once we compile a bunch of recipes it could be turned into a cookbook. I made one of these for my family using the free BLURB book making website. Here's a link to it:
http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/125306 [All 26 family members contributed at least 1 favorite recipe. I even have scanned in recipes from passed on grandparents. I included pictures of the food and or the family member(s). Lots of us use it regularly when cooking.]
I can also see Heartfriends sharing their favorite recipes from pilgrimages all over the world. This would give it an international flair. It would also be great to include favorite recipes used at Heart Center events. (This would be helpful to refer to when helping with an event!) I see Heartfriends worldwide sharing their favorite recipes from their cultures. How about Swedish pancakes with a spin of crystal light? or Refried beans with a touch of Holy Spirit? Patricia Carlson's delightful Stelle Stellar desserts!
I'm ready for this new cookbook filled with recipes full of light! What greater way to make a healthy cookbook than to have many Heartfriends contribute their own special ALCHEMYS?! I can see sections on ELIXIRS, raw food, macrobiotic favorites, sprouting techniques, rejuvalac, vegetarian entrees, wheat-free breads, healthy eating tips, natural remedies from the kitchen, living water how-tos, gardening tips and more.
"Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food." -Hippocrates
If there is interest in this I'll be willing to put it together in a book. We could begin by having a section on the forum where friends may post recipes and photos. If friends happen to post many recipes and tips that's OK too!! (My mother contributed many of the recipes in our family cookbook.) After we get 75 or more entries I can put together the book. We can then have the proceeds go to the the Hearts Center! The books can be published inexpensively on BLURB in black and white $5-$25 depending on size and length and in full color $35-$70 both types without mark-up. The books are really easy to order on Blurb. If the cookbook is a hit we could publish and sell them in a more lucrative way.
Here's the cover of my family cookbook. I used my daughter's artwork for the cover and sections. We could use beautiful original ascended master artwork or photos for "Cooking with Light".
