Marian Hall at Villa Maria, Frontenac, MN The center, approximately 90 minutes from Minneapolis/St. Paul by car, is a haven of peace, prayerfulness and sacred space, overlooking the sandstone bluffs of the Mississippi River at Lake Pepin.

Outdoor activities are plentiful on the Villa's 70 acres, which include woods, prairies and meadows. The Center adjoins Frontenac State Park with its miles of trails for walking or cross country skiing and overlooks Wells Creek, a spring-fed stream and marsh.

Path in the Woods at Villa Maria, Frontenac, MN   While at the Villa, guests may explore historic Old Frontenac and admire the view of Lake Pepin from the Florence Township Beach. There is a recreational area, a chapel, an indoor and outdoor labyrinth, two big firepits and a lake nearby.

Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport to the Freedom Conference

If you require transportation from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport to the Villa Maria Retreat, email  transportation@heartscenter.org with

We will pick you up in our Hearts Center shuttle beginning Thursday, June 30.

 

Lady Liberty will be driving again this year!

  • Shuttle fare is $40 per person one way.

“Pearl of the Lake” Riverboat Cruise on July 4

Pearl of the Lake Paddle Wheel Boat on Lake Pepin We will be taking a cruise of Lake Pepin, the largest River Lake on the Mississippi, on a genuine replica of an 1800’s Paddlewheeler named “Pearl of the Lake”. True to tradition, her only form of propulsion is the twin paddlewheels in the stern. The cruise is 90 minutes long and includes a narration. Check out the website www.pearlofthelake.com.

We are required to reserve in advance, so please email our Riverboat Cruise Captain, Holly, with your seat reservations.

The prices are

  • $15 for adults,
  • $12 for seniors (65 and older),
  • $8 for children ages 6-13, and
  • free for children 5 and under.
