David Christopher Lewis

David Christopher Lewis David Christopher Lewis is a mystic, spiritual teacher, composer and author for the Aquarian age.

In the spring of 2004, David had a mystical awakening and began receiving regular telepathic communications from enlightened spiritual beings known as ascended masters. He maintains that he is not the messenger for the ascended masters, but rather a messenger, affirming that all of us can and should develop our own spiritual faculties as well.

Early in 2005, with seven others, David founded a spiritual movement known as The Hearts Center. This non-profit organization, dedicated to helping people everywhere connect with and nurture their own divine potential, has grown in the last three years into a world-wide activity with local centers in two dozen cities in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe and South Africa.

Since 2005, David has traveled to seventeen countries while leading pilgrimages to Mexico, South America, Egypt, Europe, the Far East, India and South Africa and conducting nearly forty seminars and conferences in the United States, Canada and Europe.

Venerable Owen Adhisila

Venerable Owen Adhisila Venerable Owen Adhisila is a Theravadan forest monastic in the Burmese tradition. His teaching center is the Bodhi Tree Center on 54th and Foster in Portland, Oregon. Adhi teaches at many locations around town. Born in Oregon and ordained as a monk in Burma, he has also taught in Asia.

“Theravada” literally means, "Teaching of the Elders" or " Ancient Teaching" and is the oldest surviving Buddhist school. Theravada promotes the concept of Vibhajjavada (Pali) or the "Teaching of Analysis." This doctrine says that insight must come from the aspirant's experience, critical investigation, and reasoning instead of by blind faith. However, the scriptures of the Theravadin tradition also emphasize heeding the advice of the wise, considering such advice and evaluation of one's own experiences to be the two tests by which practices should be judged.
