Unless there is a performance or rehearsal scheduled in which I sing, I do not have singing ‘scheduled’ during my day. My beliefs that ‘other things’ are more important prevent me from singing more. The daily VitaMIN homework for MU1206 class 4 encouraged me to bring singing back in my life as a daily routine.
When asked to sing in public, thoughts of “I didn’t practice this enough”, “What if I mess up?”, “I’m not sure how to start on the right note”, “Will I be able to live up to the listeners’ expectations?”, and “These notes are too high for me to sing perfectly” prevents me from accepting the invitation with enthusiasm.

I used to think, “I leave composing to the composers” until I discovered that Heartfriends enjoyed the melodies that came to my mind and heart!

I believe the limiting thoughts that I had of myself. I have felt unworthy most of my life, and did not believe anything I did was of any consequence.
This was so much of who I thought I was, that I became extremely shy and reclusive in many ways.

I am singing more and more and I love it. I realized that when my children were young, I always made songs up for them. It was very natural. I did not think much about it until this class.

Even though I have never studied music or been trained in anyway in regard to music,it is a part of who I AM, and I choose to practice more and more. I believe the angels come when I do, and I am so happy!

Bravo for your sharing, beloved Dee. Indeed, music is part of who we are. Some have developed their musical skills more then others and... it’s never too late to discover your musical talents, experiment and feel that joy bubbling up inside or your being and consequently touching the hearts of other souls.

I actually love to sing, but don't have a voice worthy of singing in public. My father said he couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. I realize my bucket has a hole in it, too. :0) That being said, I did create a song a few days ago, which I named, "Singing with Angels". It's not clever like the songs Maria, Carol and David create. Last year during Saint Germain's Alchemy class, I wrote a song to El Morya., "I Love You Truly". I do sing it to him every day.

So what keeps me from singing more? Thin walls and lack of talent. What keeps me from creating songs? Lack of creativity, but I am working on it..
