Which one of the 10 qualities of an aspiring initiate do you choose to work on during the remainder of the course, and what is your plan of action?

I choose to work on #10. I am joyful with a sense of humor and a patient acceptance of others and my returning karma.

Joy alluded me most of my life, so I choose joy now and I am seeking humor in many of life's lessons. I have decided to follow the advice of Beloved Lord Maitreya and laugh in the teeth of adversity.

A particular situation involving one of my children caused me such sadness it was almost unbearable. As I was lying in bed feeling desolate and sorry for myself, I looked up at Lord Maitreya's picture and I heard a voice say, "laugh". Under the circumstance, laughing would never have entered my mind, however; I was obedient and the heaviness of self-pity lifted off of me like a vapor.

I am so grateful for the teachings of the Masters. Involvements in relationships on all levels teaches so much about one's self. Patience is truly a virtue not only with others as you strive to be understanding vs. being understood, and to love vs. being loved. As my karma descends, I pray for joy, patient acceptance of all life and to gain the strength and courage to continue on.

As I write this I am facing two very critical opportunities, so I have decided to share a little humor:

"One day a Pastor and a Brother took a visitor out on their fishing boat. Once in the middle of the lake, the Pastor said, "I seem to have forgotten my fishing pole, be right back" and to the visitor's amazement stepped out of the boat and walked on top of the water towards the shore.
When he returned, the Brother said, " I need to use the restroom, be right back."
Again the visitor watched in amazement. Once the Brother returned, not wanting to be outdone, the visitor said," I need to use the restroom too."
As soon as he stepped out of the boat, he sank.
The Pastor nudged the Brother and said, " We should have told him where the rocks were".

Thanks! I laugh too and will give you another story.

In school the 1st graders had a drawing class and the teacher asked a little girl, "What are you drawing?"

"I am drawing God" the little girl said. "But no one knows what God is like" said the teacher.

The girl answered "Then soon you will see!"

    Blessing

    I like #10 too.

I recently began experimenting with calling on Laugh-a-Lot when things are tense around the office. It seems as though whenever I make the call the environment changes and everyone is soon laughing!

I like # 10 and " I am constant and one pointed..." I can choose to remember to smile or laugh when something odd someone offends me and remember that it could be my returning Karma and this also gives understanding as well when I may be perplexed as to why somthing is the way it is.

I also like the virtue of constancy. I choose to be constant in my decree and prayer joy-work and other areas of life that allow me to stay well and available to life and the source of joy and of the all in All.
