I read in a "Pearl" many years ago: Kindness must acquire wisdom, lest people take advantage of your affections and not receive it as a gift that is to be treasured. And so this has helped me in my personal relationships with others and deciding on creating a boundary when my kindness was not treasured. I found that in the path to honor and respect God, we must understand how to honor and respect yourself and then we can give that same honor and respect to others. The heart of the matter is trully within ourself and not the other person, by loving and respecting ourself, I believe boundaries no longer become an issue. It becomes our personal decision on how much we are willing to love sentient beings to assist them and rise higher on their path, to plant a seed that may not blossom for many moons, years, decades or life times to come. But the fruits of our labors are never in vain and the joy in our hearts expands to share with another soul.

oops, this is a different type of boundary! I tried to experience the Spiritual Exercise Two this morning in my living room but did not feel any difference in the sacred space than the rest of the room. It might be due to the light that flows throughout this area since it is the heart of my home and I do keep this area filled with peace and harmony and fun. My puppy and dogs can testify to this! I am thinking that I might try this in another room later and see if that makes a difference, Bless you for my misunderstanding and your love and understanding!

This reminder has been a blessing for me. Bless all of those who express kindness and may they honor and respect themselves as well.
