An example of an Elemental Lesson during the Family Service for Children of all Ages

    1. Everyone dance and act out the elemental song "Spin in the Violet Flame". 3-6 minutes

    2. Show the Meru Learning Center game of "Find the Gnome" . http://www.merulearningcenter.org/ Click on "Fairyland Fun". Project your computer screen on a large wall or sheet using a projector or if there are just a few people have them look directly at the computer screen. (I haven't found all of the gnomes yet). 4-5 minutes

    3. Create a slideshow or print out images of elementals found on the internet or those you may have. The "kids" can say what they think each picture is; whether its a gnome, angel, fiery salamander etc.. Have "kids" describe each type of elemental and talk about them. (4-6 minutes)

[Sing and act out "Spin in the Violet Flame" once more if time.] 3-4 minutes.

    4. Take the "kids" into the kitchen and show them how to sprout seeds. They can take turns rinsing and tasting the sprouts. They can talk about the elementals who help seeds sprout. [Maybe someone knows what types of elementals help with sprouts!?]

If this lesson interferes too much with the adult service you can do this in another room. I think the total amount of minutes for the elemental service, up to the sprouts part, will be about 20 minutes.

*** Now that you've created great interest in elementals you can have a deeper level of elemental study next time by discussing each type of elemental and their evolutions. Be sure to incorporate pictures, songs and movements to retain information and interest!!

Here's an interesting website you could use for information on elementals: http://www.selfgrowth.com..._and_their_hierarchs
