Beloved Gratitude is the being who ensouls the essence of gratitude. He says:

"Gracious ones, gratitude, as the polarity of love, instills in both the giver and the receiver of its essence a profound and earnest sense of loveliness. And through the opening of the heart that occurs each time you express something of thankfulness to another, greater divine light abides where you are. If you could see the heart-connection that occurs each time you feel gratitude for God, for life, for opportunity and for what others have shared in their own givingness, you would know how the aperture of love within you is increased more and more."

The entry on gratitude in wikipedia says:

"A large body of recent work has suggested that people who are more grateful have higher levels of subjective well-being. Grateful people are happier, less depressed, less stressed, and more satisfied with their lives and social relationships. Grateful people also have higher levels of control of their environments, personal growth, purpose in life, and self acceptance. Grateful people have more positive ways of coping with the difficulties they experience in life. Grateful people also have less negative coping strategies, being less likely to try to avoid the problem, deny there is a problem, blame themselves, or cope through substance use. Grateful people sleep better, and this seems to be because they think less negative and more positive thoughts just before going to sleep."

How do you experience gratitude in your life? What are the essences of gratitude that flow through your being?

To contemplate "Gratitude", I think of Jesus as a Pure example of Gratitude and I see gratitude as an art.
Jesus always gave gratitude and thankfulness to God, when eating, blessing others, teaching. His words were emanations of gratitude, every breath.

    Matthew 14:19
"And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people."

    Matthew 26:27
Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you.

    Mark 14:22
"While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take it; this is my body."

The New Testament is a symphony of thanksgiving and gratitude. Jesus was showing us the way to deal with life, it's ups and downs.
As David, the Soul of Jesus remanded us to honor gratitude in the psalms. I believe that everytime David gave praise he was giving gratitude to God.

    Psalm 148

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the
    heights
2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.
6 He hath also established them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word:
9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:
11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
13 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the Lord.

    Gratitude,praise,thanksgiving,appreciation,love,joy,happiness,recognition,honor, blessings,grateful,and stillness
