At this fantastic gift shop, you can purchase great Canadian souvenirs and gifts. There’s a stunning array of collectors coins for all budgets. For example, there are inexpensive theme cards: baby, tooth fairy, Canada, birthday and wedding. If you were to purchase the Tooth Fairy Gift Set ($29.95), you would receive the Canadian penny, nickel, dime, quarter, loonie and toonie (time to learn your Canadian English!), and the tooth fairy design would be engraved on the 25-cent piece. Or you can purchase just the fairy tooth quarter at $9.95.

More expensive are the precious metals such as the one minted for Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee, which is occurring this year. The $5 Pure Gold Coin, hand-polished to proof perfection costs $295.95

The world’s first colored coin is the Poppy Coin––Remembrance Day Flower Coin. The Aster with Bumble Bee is an enchantingly beautiful coin with a purple flower.($29.95) Mishepishu, swimming the blue water of the Great Lakes, is the mysterious creature from an Ojibway legend. ($24.95) The Fine Silver $20 Coin––Sugar Maple Crystal Raindrop is gorgeous. ($119.95)

This is just a smidgen of what you’ll see in the fascinating world of coin collections, circulation coins and bullion at the boutique.

You will also find an exciting line of clothing exclusive to the Royal Canadian Mint such as: attractive water-resistant jackets, sweaters, t-shirts, mittens, toques, scarves and hats. They come in different colors with the mint logo.

Look for the plates, bowls, kids’ lunch bags, maple syrup, key chains, magnets, piggy banks, postcards, watches, money card holders, and jewelry. There’s something for everyone, and maybe you’ll get your Christmas shopping done.

    Have fun!
