Please post your permaculture land-use plan in this forum.

    Permaculture Zones

You can either draw up a plan or discuss your design in narrative.

After the drought destroyed much of the plants in my front yard, I prayed about how to reconstruct this front garden area so that visitors would feel inspired and welcomed. Since I had once asked a darshan question about the Archangel Azalea and since David had relayed that when we asked such questions the masters would like us to also meditate on the answers and do our own research. This I did. I had wondered about the colors of Azaleas - always shades of pink, violet, coral and white, but many shades. As I meditated, I learned that Uzziel and Azalea were experts on the heart and the heart chakra, bringing the light of the 8th ray chakra to the secret chamber of the HEART WHERE ALL THESE SHADES ARE FOUND.

They can send their rays, "the very heart of the 8th ray", to the heart, shattering all calcification that occurs there - especially from raccous music/sound and the bombardment of the physical senses. Uzziel says that our generation has come forth to master the energies of the heart and to show this to our brothers and sisters. 4/8/77. If we follow their directions (see pg 375 in The Masters and their Retreats) we are less likely to have premature heart attacks and other heart problems.

So I decided to prepare my front yard, along the front of my house for Azaleas and I planted 10 new Azalea plants plus I realized the house required rain gutters along the roof edge as Azalea roots do not handle huge amounts of water all at once (when we do get rain). They like mulch so I acquired cedar mulch which repels many bugs.

In front of the Azaleas, I have Asian Jasmine that managed to survive most of the drought and give a good appearance. Farther in front, I have 2 Oak trees, 2 pine trees, a Cedar tree and 2 Sycamore trees which help give the shade that Azaleas require part of the time.

I include Uzziel and Azalia in my calls to the Archangels each evening before bed in my last meditation visualizing their lovely flowers and meditating on their promises for our hearts.

My property consists of a small patio courtyard, 20 feet by 20 feet. It is paved with flagstone and there is one tree that is a refuge for many birds, especially hummingbirds. My garden consists of about 40 potted plants, from very large to very small. There are two ways I optimize the use of the space due to living in the desert. The first is by moving the plants into or out of the direct sun at different times of year based on what makes them happy. The second is by grouping plants together into families. I nestle plants together by type, including herbs, small flowering annuals, and larger plants like jasmine, roses and forsythia. For now, that’s about all the space planning that I can do. As a result of this class, I intend to add some vegetables to my garden family after the summer heat is over.

Instead of planting rows of each vegetable, I plan on planting "Plant Communities" that are beneficial to each other in my garden. I have added a bird bath with a water wiggler in one garden and I have a solar Buddha fountain in the other. I have planted one new apple tree with my crab apple trees as pollinators and plan on getting a self-pollinating cherry tree as well. I have a plan to slowly turn my yard into a permaculture "Native/edible plant community" with a winding path that includes statues of St. Francis, elementals, and ferries with places to sit and meditate." I envision a biodome greenhouse with a fish tank in the backyard that I can get to easily going out my screened in porch. This is my two year plan. I invoke the elementals to help bring my vision into manifestation with any additions and corrections that they see.

Currently I have a potted herb garden on a narrow balcony, but in 6 weeks we are moving to a house with a garden and there will be an opportunity or me to grow veggies in the village allotment. I've been doing a lot of research and I'm finding lots of resources to get going at the new place, pity I'll have missed the planting season though.
Our potted garden is doing very well in organic manure and compost and we've had a lot of rain the last 2 weeks so the seedlings are really looking lovely. Every morning I make a point of thanking the elementals of all the hard work they are doing and it become a routine for my daughter and I to talk about the beautiful plants and our neighbouring forest and animals and give thanks.
