Helio’s Poem
As I was early out one morn
To gaze upon the sun
I was inspired a poem to write
To honor these great Ones.
A majestic ode was just the thing
To show their love, you see
So when the verses would not come
I feared, t’was not to be.
So as I was laughing at myself,
And light raced toward the earth
Some funny words about the sun
Filled my heart with mirth.
Well, Helios did not say a word
Just chuckled, oh so sweet,
As he sent such love from His great heart
That filled me head to feet!
And so it finally came so clear
Just what I was to do
Not a majestic ode at all,
Just to tell of His love--
His immense, heart-filling love,
for you, and you, and you,
and you, and you,
and you. . .
