Donna Korth had a question about Chasteberry (Vitex) aa a precursor for Melatonin. After doing some research, I discovered that Chasteberry is used mainly for regulating female hormones as in PMS. But it has also been found to increase melatonin in the body. People can try it if they like, but the sun will take care of PMS and darkness will increase melatonin levels at night. BTW, while researching this, I found that meditating before going to bed increases melatonin level. So perhaps meditating in the dark should be done at night instead of in the morning. It would also be good preparation for going to the Temple of the Sun. It would not be contemplation as in the morning but a different type of meditation. David has some good teachings on meditation under Teachings > Spiritual Practices.
