    I like to view these turbulent times we live in as a fragile, swaying foot bridge over a roaring torrent, a bridge spanning the sides of a precipitous gorge with men having to slowly wend their way forward across to gain the far side which represents the growth and attainment of the soul. Countless numbers, through fear, weakness of character,through their hateful acts against others or the many despicable acts which they perpetrate, fall away into the raging waters until the time rolls around again for them to reincarnate and make amends.There are those whose spirits shine with great light and dignity and a life lived according to the precepts of the cosmic laws of life, who bravely advance filled with courage and faith across the bridge putting out a helping hand and raying out their love and compassion to those in need.

    The Aquarian energies in conjunction with the 7th Ray violet fire are truly making a huge impact in so many ways. We are living on the one hand in times of huge personal and national upheavel and on the other hand in times of huge spiritual evolution and upliftment.

    Of course, as is always the case when the searchlight of the spirit shines with such intensity it highlights all the horror, the evil and the despicable acts of men through their continual abuse of free will. As such, man has over the past one hundred years brought the race to the very brink of annihilation.

    However, the truth is, that buried deep in the depths of his soul, his spirit still shines with the will-to-goodness and the great lords of cosmic love are well aware of this and know that some day in the distant future, he will attain his spiritual majority, his divine heritage. This beginning of the Aquarian era already points to this marvellous time.

    Wellesley Tudor Pole, a really great soul, wrote the following, 69 years ago at the height of the 2nd world war and it is as applicable now as it was then:

    " I should like you to understand that there are good reasons for tempered optimism in spite of the terrible situation to which the misuse of mans free will has brought the race.
    Each kingdom of nature possesses its own guardians who are responsible for the welfare of the elemental life forces. These guardians possess memories that go right back to the beginning of time when life first appeared on this planet, and their memories also go forward far into the future. If therefore,this planet of ours and all its life were destined to disappear through nuclear fission or through the outbreak of another global war, then it should be already clear to these guardians that this disaster was due to take place. In this case we should expect that they would have taken the necessary steps to preserve as far as lay in their power, the life energies of those elemental forces for use elsewhere. However, there is no sign that such special action has been taken which indicates,to me anyway,that so far as their memory of the future is concerned, they are satisfied that in some unexpected way the disasters referred to are unlikely to take place".

    Therefore, it is imperative that we rededicate ourselves anew each day to the mystic comrade by our side who teaches us to read the meaning of life in the light of its high hours and to suffer with acceptance and even joy whatever tribulations beset us knowing it is necessary for our inner growth and advancement; to walk in faith the streets of the years nurturing the inner silence and drawing our sustenance therefrom.

    Let me close with the following lovely words translated from the Persian whose author is unknown:-

    "For like a child sent with a fluttering light

    to feel his way along a gusty night

    man walks this world; again and yet again

    the lamp shall be by fits of passion slain;

    but shall not he, who sent him from the door

    relight the lamp once more, and yet once more./"

    Hi Rob, thanks for this 'thinking out loud'. I like the 'foot bridge' allusion. As we know, it is with the pen that we encourage even cajole those to whom descriptive rhetoric/ words do not come as easily.The
    Master's from the past have set the examples for us.
