In the past, I have found reciting the Ho'oponopono to be a chore. There are just so many repetitions you can say before it gets old, even if you inject emotion into it. Today, I realized that the Ho'oponopono is a bhajan and should be sung. We have Laura Pomerantz's song "Heal With the Ho’oponopono," but there are other words in it besides the four sayings, and it too gets old. There's something about singing bhajan's that doesn't get old and that raises your vibration. Maybe it's the melodies. Also, when you combine the melodies with the words of the Ho'oponopono, they seem more powerful. Perhaps it's because, unlike Sanskrit bhajans that we don't usually know the meaning of, we understand the meaning of "I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me, I thank you"; thus we engage our entire being: body, mind, and heart in the singing. So I tried saying the Ho'oponopono to the melodies of several bhagans. For example, it works especially well with my favorite bhajan, Kali Ma. Try it and report your experiences.
