A heartfriend asked me what to do besides sungazing to improve eyesight. This is my reply, which I think everyone will find beneficial, even those with 20/20 vision, because, according to Yogananda, it also improves third eye vision.

This is what HRM recommends people do in addition to sungazing to improve eyesight: Instead of staring directly at the sun, move your eyes in a clockwise circle outside the corona of the sun. This will allow sunlight to strengthen all the rods and cones of the retina, not just the ones in the center. When you are done sungazing, turn your back to the sun so that it warms the medulla oblongata at back of your head. Then rub your hands vigorously to get them warm and place your palms over your eyes. You will see brilliant colored after images of the sun. Stare at these till they begin to fade, take your hands away, and, with eyes closed, rotate your eyes in a circle three times, then squeeze your eyes tightly to the count of 12. Rotate and squeeze two more times. Open your eyes and stare at green grass or anything green for a minute. Another thing you can do is wear pinhole sunglasses instead of polaroid eyeglasses. However, don't wear them while driving as they limit your field of view. Just use them for reading and other safe activities. They are also good for sungazing if you have trouble with the glare. Polaroid sunglasses damage the eyes but pinhole sunglasses strengthen them.

Thanks, Wayne, this sounds very helpful in addition to Sungazing and practicing what Cyclopea says!
