    To any educators out there:

The Power of Our Words:Teacher Language that Helps Children Learn By Paula Denton, EdD. This book is so much like the book we are studying for the class but with a special emphasis on teachers' language use in the classrooms. I like the excerpt on using open-ended questions in the classroom to help develop autonomy and thinking skills. I also like her 5 guideline points that she explains so well in chapter 1 (free download). The author's explanation of the first guideline, be direct and authentic, helps me to see just how literal children are, very much like our unconscious.

Both the excerpt and chapter 1 can be viewed for free. Here's a link: http://www.responsiveclas...rp_powerofwords.html
