With the ascended masters as our elder brothers and sisters on the path and as godly examples of selfless living, each of us has an opportunity to advance in personal discipleship toward the goal of the ascension through advanced studies of the wisdom teachings and in service to life through loving acts of mercy and compassion.
We are a dynamic movement. We meditate and pray. We breathe spiritual fire. We dance and sing. We gaze at the morning sun and feel its radiance. We live for the light. Our services, prayer sessions and Meru University classes are never staid or wanting of inspiration. Everyone contributes in some way. We are a worldwide community of heartfriends, tied together by our love for God and the God-flame within each one.
As a messenger, I have a job to do, and that is to bring up-to-the-minute teaching, directives and inspiration from the masters to their students—supercharged with their cosmic energy which is always impelling us higher. Although the masters have a plan, they never seem to reveal too much in advance. This is to keep us on our toes but also because, by free will, we may choose to fulfill their assignments and projects or we may not, based on our availability, resources and desire.
Although we accept truth as found in the mystic paths of all religions, we are not bound by doctrine and dogma. We accept and love people where they are. We do not judge them based on paradigms of the past. We maintain an ear to heaven even while we listen to the hearts of those in need of assistance upon earth. Our lives are never dull, for we have supreme opportunities given to us to serve. And this is our great joy.
We are unique from previous ascended master movements although we accept the great blessings and the foundations laid by each one that has gone before. We have received dictations from over two dozen new masters from whom we had never heard before—masters such as the Buddha from out the Pleiades and The Buddhas of the Golden-Pink Glow Ray, the Crystal Ray, the Golden Ray and the Emerald-Teal Ray. We have reveled in the radiance and teaching from Amaryllia, Jasmine, Gladalot (Guy Hudson), Mary W. (Wrobleski), Maryon, the Voice of Stillness, Saint Gemma, Sita, Paracletus, Suryaji (Ramakrishna), The Silent One, Joviel, The Spirit of Grace, John Paul II, Virtue, The Spirit of China, Guru Nanak, Lady Elisabeth (Caspari), Alice Boscow, Valiant (Herbert Beigel), Omraam (Mikhaël Aïvanhov), Dr. James Burns, Jar-El-Um and the Spirit of Christmas.
Each of these masters had a profound message to deliver and a radiance to bestow. Many have ties to our hearts, for some we have known personally and witnessed the light expanding within them until one day they disappeared to re-emerge in their ascended light body, now ready to assist us in our mission.
We are the mystics. Sometimes misunderstood, we continue to love all people and to do our work. Often our work is out of sight, out of mind—although we are not out of our minds! Yes, we are mindful, caring and insightful. We have taken the teachings to heart and are living them day after day. We strive, make mistakes and fall; get up, brush ourselves off and move forward. We are carrying on the work of the Brotherhood, come what may.

Getting to know, love and expand this spiritual flame is what The Hearts Center is all about. Focusing on this flame, fanning it by our devotion and service to God and one another is the key to transformation. The more we love and serve, the brighter the flame and the greater our ability to radiate love in service to mankind. It's a most dynamic ebb and flow!
The name of our movement, “The Hearts Center,” conveys our vision that each individual is experiencing, working with, strengthening and expanding his own heart connection to God. At The Hearts Center we offer many keys that can enhance and accelerate this communion and expansion.
A supportive community: the universality of truth
So what exactly does our movement offer? For one thing, it offers loving support as we walk the spiritual path. Without community, this path back home to God can be filled with questions, a sense of separation. Sometimes there seems to be no one with whom to bounce off ideas or share an experience. But it doesn’t have to be lonely and confusing.
You will find in The Hearts Center many vibrant communities, Local Hearts Centers and Heartfriends Groups, enjoying the presence of the divine and the Divine Presence in one another. As a community, we understand that truth comes in many languages, and we have learned to value varied religious traditions.
Working together toward spiritual goals is important to us. It is also important to support one another in the fulfillment of each one’s mission all the way Home. Our communication is loving, we honor and respect the individuality of each one and we hold sacred the earth upon which we walk.
A way to connect with higher realms: the Great White Brotherhood
What else do we have to offer? A connection with heavenly communities! Community here on earth is vital. At its best, it is where brotherhood flourishes, where people sense their tie to others. Fellowship, joy, fun and support are glorious products of community.
Well, there is community in the heavenly realms, too. These realms are teeming with the most wonderful communities, orders, brotherhoods you could ever imagine. Not only the angels with their own hierarchical structure and specific jobs but other God-beings reside in these higher planes.
You’ll find the saints and sages of all religions there. They walked this planet at one time and have earned the right to ascend back to God. They are called “ascended masters”, for they have gained mastery over the world in which we live. And in the heaven world, they work together on projects that assist us here so that we may attain that self-same mastery.
Incredible teachers and masters have come and gone, prophets among us—the great ones whom we have admired and in whose footsteps we may choose to walk. They are key players in many plans and projects underway for the sole purpose of uplifting planet earth. Some spiritual paths call this cosmic hierarchy the Universal Brotherhood. Others call them the Great White Brotherhood. And you have the opportunity to work directly with them.
Heartstreaming for personal and planetary change
So the point is that when communities “down here” have a connection to communities “up there,” you have an unbeatable combination. How does that connection take place? Heartstreaming. It is a new term coined to define ancient practices of the flow of love and life through the heart. Meditation, spiritual communion and communication, “going within,” the act of being present and mindfulness are all aspects of heartstreaming.
There are several meanings to this new word. Another way we use it is as our title for the up-to-the-minute messages originating with the ascended masters and coming through their anointed messengers on earth. These HeartStreams vibrate with the masters’ love and wisdom. They anchor light in the earth as they are being delivered or replayed in audio or video format. They teach, exhort, bless, uplift, direct us in specific actions needed to assist not only each of us but our planet as well.
God’s messengers and heartfriends
We are all meant to be God’s messengers, for we truly are a divine aspect of God. And each one of us has a message to bring forth for the benefit of the earth. We have the support of the masters and one another in this work of becoming. That is the goal of The Hearts Center. In our movement we are, each one, encouraged to accept that reality as happening in us now.
Some have demonstrated the inner surrender and self-emptying that allows them to be that messenger in the manner of the prophets of old. David Christopher Lewis is one who has done this. The Heartstreams that have been delivered through David since 2004, emanate the presence of God in our midst. We are grateful as a community to have among us this humble servant of God who continues to be the vehicle through which progressive revelation occurs.
Individuals who have been drawn to our universal message and the radiance of the ascended masters through our HeartStreams, we call “heartfriends,” a term coined by the ascended masters themselves. And any and all who serve God’s purposes on earth we joyfully consider heartfriends also, whether they are a part of our movement or not.
Hope for planet earth
Our movement offers great hope for planet earth. As we work together with the ascended masters, we find ourselves joyously busy being “about our Father’s business.” We are into personal and planetary transformation. The first creates the second. There is no other way if you stop and think about it.
Yes, our movement offers hope of a better tomorrow. And we also believe that all people can, through prayer, meditation and the full understanding of the sacred sciences, no matter what their spiritual affiliation, create a time on earth of true peace, harmony, joy and beauty.
The Hearts Center is a movement of hearts united in this great mission of personal and planetary change, supporting one another and championing the divine source in each one as we work together toward this goal.
Worshipping together in a virtual world
Daily, hundreds of dedicated heartfriends gather together worldwide in Hearts Centers, in their homes and often via internet, to practice “the science of invocation.” This is a form of heartstreaming as we visualize and focus on the intention of our prayers. We give mantras from different religions and cultures and recite poetic prayers sometimes called “decrees.” We sing devotional songs and often sing our prayers, too. Meditation is a part of our practice as is focused breathing. Physical movement is important during certain parts of our spiritual work to keep energies flowing and even to accelerate the action of light.
Many of our prayers have come to us as heartstreams from the ascended masters. Even so, we know that spontaneous, heartfelt prayers are another way to expand our divine flame, our love for God and our fellow man.
On the move for the masters: events and pilgrimages!
Since the beginning of this movement, the masters’ message to us has been, “Get out there and anchor light.” That is probably a novel concept to some. The teaching on anchoring light is that by our physical presence in certain areas of the world chosen by the ascended masters, by our focused attention and voiced prayers, we assist in the transformation of those areas. We become conduits for light, vehicles for mitigation.
It has been said that God can only do for us what he can do through us. It is each heartfriend’s freewill choice that allows this blessing to be present in the earth. The term “pilgrimage” takes on a new meaning then. Not only do we travel to locations around the world to pay homage to its spiritual history or to experience the positive energies that can be found there, in all instances we go to assist in the raising of the energies of that location and the balancing of inharmonious vibrations. As of 2007, The Hearts Center has sponsored seven such pilgrimages in its two-year history as a movement. Has it sometimes been hectic? Yes! But it has always been an exciting and joyous ride!
Four major events are scheduled annually. These come at the solstices and equinoxes, important times in our calendar that mark the beginning and ending of certain cycles. Our prayer work during these events, because we come together with similar intention, multiplies the action of God’s light for the blessing, healing and transmutation of our planet.
Meru University: illumination plus
Meru University, the educational component of The Hearts Center, is a modern-day mystery school that facilitates the spiritual development of the soul. The university is dedicated to the sharing of ageless wisdom and progressive revelation through courses, seminars, workshops, publications and projects.
All seekers are assisted in understanding the ancient and modern teachings of East and West enlivened by commentary from the ascended masters. Teleconference courses taught by our messengers and faculty continue weekly with classes sometimes offered at Hearts Center major events worldwide.

We further believe that the harmony we embody occurs through attunement with our individualized Divine Presence as we maintain a state of listening grace. In collaboration with heavenly masters, angels, and nature spirits, we are assisted in achieving ever-increasing intimate communion with God. We practice spiritual sciences such as meditation, prayer, mantras, visualization, songs and rituals to heighten our attunement and to bless all of life. And we experience sacred darshan² with the Ascended Masters.
Understanding the importance of the Holy Family as the basic platform for the soul's evolution, The Hearts Center sponsors Meru Learning Centers. These learning centers are dedicated to educating the souls of children in cosmic principles that enhance the connection with their inner teacher. Our Aquarian Age model of education provides an environment for parents to work side-by-side with their children using a free choice, hands-on curriculum composed of spiritual lessons, meditations and various practical and creative applications of cosmic law. These experiences set a standard of excellence in education and culture that develops the inner potential of the soul of each child in their zone of proximal development. A repository of curricula and parenting guidelines is available to all parents and teachers. Interactive workshops are conducted around the world.
Meru University is a modern-day mystery school that assists in the spiritual development of the soul. - Heartstreaming sessions are dynamic group meditations that create a synergistic communion of hearts attuned with the angels and ascended beings through which problems can be solved and solutionsto diverse personal and planetary issues can be found.

Darshans are intimate, holy question and answer sessions that allow for a direct discourse between the ascended masters and their students, usually with the students’ questions answered by the masters in a group setting so that all may learn from the interchange.
