The daily meditations for today and yesterday were about different intelligences. The last part of today's: "Intelligence...belongs to the world of the superconscious, the divine world. For an initiate this is the only true form of intelligence. Those who have learned to master their thoughts and feelings and who work in communion with the higher regions have achieved something sublime. These are the philosophers, artists and scholars, and, above all, the initiates of the world." Yesterday he said that the sun is the most intelligent being of all. Elsewhere, he said that there's more intelligence in one ray of sunlight than the greatest genius. These thoughts reminded me of the story of a great composer, Mozart or Beethoven, who was inspired to compose one his greatest symphonies after watching the sunrise. I know other musicians and singers who have had similar experiences and I have experienced this several times myself. Undoubtedly there have been artists, dancers, scientists, and writers who have had moments of genius and inspiration after happening to catch the sunrise one day. Imagine the effects on our culture if everyone watched the sunrise every day! Wayne |
