I'd like to add strength training 2-3 times a week to my schedule. I'm thinking about doing so while I decree or say the Rosary. I'm not sure what exercises to incorporate that wouldn't be distracting. Any ideas? Do you think it's OK to sometimes exercise while decreeing?

I often decree while walking. and yet when I am doing strength training I do not, I find It requires more attention and focus I focus on my breath and the form of the movement.visualization works better.for instance if I am doing a chest press I would feel my heart center and the area of the heart chakra.

I can't say that I do a lot of strength training at this point.....but I have had great success with associating a single fohatic word and thoughtform with a movement or effort such as lifing weights is. An example is the word "Joy".

After meditating upon the concept of joy until you can feel it and see it in your minds eye, practice rhythmically exhaling the fire of joy into the web of life around you with each motion of your exercise. See in your mind the motion and breath of the exercise puffing (like a bellows) this joy into the auras and feelings of as many people as you can imagine. See and feel your joy melting away the depression and sadness that others in the world may be feeling.

I've done this with my footsteps while walking and with rhythmic tai chi-like body movements. When you do this with great concentration and feeling you will feel as though you've just done hours of violet flame. And you'll brighten the days of others.

I encourage people to do exercise and move while praying. I like to rebound while doing mantras and visualizing light blazing in, to, through and around the world and all lightbearers.

I love Boyd's input and I'll have to try this.

Kuthumi dictated live once through me when Mona and I were walking down Pine Creek Road in the early morning, observing the sunrise and witnessing the elementals greeting the new day with singing and praise.

Adding visualization, rhythm and very simple mantras to any weight training routine allows it to be more fun and hopefully free your mind from any potential strain. Time flies when we're having fun!

Much of all true yogic practices include pranic breathing, visualization and focus. The same can hold true for weight training. It actually can be a yogic exercise when these components are consciously added. Remember to keep smiling!
