Kuan Yin known as the Mother of Mercy in the East, has been worshipped by Buddhists for thousands of years. She is the greatest of Bodhisattvas and embodies the totality of compassion for humanity. She removes obstacles, erases past offenses, dispenses mercy, healing and spiritual graces, while always meeting the true inner needs of the soul.

"Hearer of Sounds"

Her shortened Chinese name,  Kuan Yin, means “Hearer of Sounds.” Her full name, Kuan Shih Yin,  means “Hearer of the World’s Sounds.” According to Eastern tradition, when Kuan Yin was about to enter heaven, as she stood on the very threshold, she could hear the cries of humanity. She did not enter but returned to help all who suffer in the earth plane. The term “Hearer of Sounds" can also be translated as “perceiver” or “regarder” of the world’s sounds. She is known in much of Asia as a divine emanation that answers the prayers of those who faithfully call upon her name.

Kuan Yin removes obstacles, erases past offenses, dispenses mercy, healing and spiritual graces, while always meeting the true inner needs of the soul.

Bodhisattva of Compassion

One of her many titles is Bodhisattva of Compassion. Bodhisattva is a Sanskrit word—bodhi meaning "enlightenment"  and sattva translated as "reality" or "existence." A bodhisattva is an enlightened being who has vowed to forgo higher realms and full liberation in order to assist those still struggling in the physical world. A bodhisattva cultivates virtue and pursues his/her spiritual career while on a path of self-sacrifice for the welfare of others and gives compassionate, loving service to humanity and to all sentient life. A bodhisattva (P’u Sa in Chinese) can be a person still in embodiment or a celestial being like Kuan Yin. At this highest transcendent level, the title is mahasattva.

Kuan Yin Mercy Prayer

Kuan Yin is a cross-cultural, nondenominational figure revered by many spiritual and religious traditions around the world. She serves the aspirants of all spiritual heritages and paths. Those who espouse a concept of an impersonal, formless divinity see her as an expression of the essence of compassion, or as a symbol of it. Others who acknowledge a personal Godhead view her as a divine embodiment of this virtue. Some view her as both the impersonal and personal manifestations of divine compassion, with no contradiction. She nurtures the growth of this quality in us through our devotions and our interpersonal relationships with others.

Enter the Heart of Kuan Yin and Know Oneness with Your Solar Presence
Kuan Yin and Manjushri—An Omega-Alpha Action of Integration

At the beginning of this year, Kuan Yin released for thirty-three days her Missives of Mercy. And they were a beautiful teaching on all aspects of the flame of mercy, forgiveness, compassion. And she spoke on mercy from many, many different angles to ensconse her merciful heart through ours and around us. And then in September, Manjushri came and gave us for thirty-three days his Mindful Moments to meditate upon.
This was and remains an Alpha-Omega action. But as you can see the Omega came first and the Alpha came later. For in the Golden Age of Aquarius the Mother Light is rising and the Mother energies come to the fore.
So why did Kuan Yin and why did Manjushri come in this year 2008? It is a year of integration—the eight being the eighth ray, the ruby ray, the eighth ray of integration. And it is time for mankind to fully know and integrate with the reality of our Higher Self. We can only do this by entering into presence through an attitude of gratitude, through a merciful and loving and compassionate heart.
Manjushri wields a sword. But the sword is not one of violence but one of absolute deftness in the science of being and of illuminating our minds because he is a great wisdom Buddha. Kuan Yin is also very wise. And her wisdom is conveyed through a most magnificent presence that transcends all planes and allows us to get to the heart of the matter of our own beings where we enter the innermost recesses of true love—mercy and forgiveness being a component and an aspect of divine love.

                                                     The Gradations of Mercy

The gradations of mercy are many. They flow from the most delicate renderings of forgiveness and compassion as the roseate-pinkish hues of violet to the deeper, more blue emanations of mercy which come, even as a certain justice and a rendering of cosmic judgment, as it were, to cleave away all that is unreal so that the light of mercy may manifest in the lives of all.
When people pray to Kuan Yin—not in the way of just a supplication, for some intercession to relieve them of suffering or to get them out of a condition that may be painful to the human ego—but they come to Kuan Yin in a way that is in the understanding of the bodhisattva path to serve sentient beings until all are free, then Kuan Yin comes with a great magnificent presence of beingness that illumines our life and brings forth the highest possible outcome and reality for us. This may not always be the alleviation of our temporary suffering, which is a point that sometimes we have to go through in order to get to the deeper core issues of why we are experiencing a temporary pain in our being.
For her greatest desire and the desire of our Higher Self, with whom she fully resonates, is for us to resolve our issues and come to the conclusion that only through picture-perfect presence and oneness and non-duality in beingness may all be fully resolved and may we come to the center-point of being where there is no more karma because in the center of God there is no more periphery of awareness. We no longer turn around through the wheel of karma on the outer-dimensional planes of being, but we have entered the very center-point that is still, that doesn't turn and that is fully God.
                                                  Dissolve Your Karma Faster

If you would like a greater opportunity to dissolve your karma faster, the best way is to enter presence and stillness because from that point of reality, you see clearly what is acting. And you no longer, through dual-eyed vision, enter into a thinking mode, a cogitating mode, a mental mode that leads you into always analyzing, judging and interpreting from the human level what is transpiring in your world. But you can remain in your heart, fully centered. And from that point of joy and blessedness and beingness not make additional karma. And there is an accelerated action of light when you enter presence whereby all that has transpired before is put aside and dissolved within that beingness of presence.
Many masters in the past, East and West, have not known of the gift of the violet transmuting flame outwardly. And yet, because they have so identified with their Buddha Nature and the blessedness of compassion, kindness and the merciful path, there has been the action of the violet light and the mercy flame working its perfect work within their heart to dissolve all that is unreal.
So whether you have the outer understanding and the jargon or the verbiage of ascended master teachings in this age or not, if you enter the heart of Kuan Yin and really get to know who and what she is all about as a magnificent being whose consciousness so far transcends this plane that it is almost hard to describe how magnificent she truly is and what she does for humanity through her merciful heart, then you will begin to receive the frequencies of her being and a newness and a nowness that will lead you to the shores of your own inner reality, no more living from a point outside of the center of being. But having entered her heart, you may enter fully your heart and that heart may merge with hers.

                                                Realize Your Sunship/Sonship

Every ascended master desires that we get it. And by getting it that means that we come into God Self-realization of who we are, not through just identifying with a particular master but by having them as a pricking point to open up the portals of presence so that we can become who we are because every master will lead you back to your own Source, your own inner wisdom. And they will not desire to have you rely upon them permanently but only temporarily until you blend with the highest frequencies of beingness that they also resonate through.
We have heard recently the teaching on living in presence with an understanding that our Presence is a Solar Presence, is a Sun Presence. And using this term, Solar Presence, is great because we can realize our own sonship/sunship—both the  “s-o-n-s-h-i-p” and the “s-u-n-s-h-i-p.” And so whether you identify with Jesus, Gautama, Maitreya, Kuan Yin, Mother Mary, El Morya or any ascended being, ultimately they will lead you back to identifying with the Sun Presence of your Higher Self, your own God Presence, the I AM THAT I AM, the true you.
Seeing yourself as a sun gives you a momentum and an opportunity that few people upon earth really enter into because they so identify with their human bodies, with the outer man or woman and not with this magnificence of Godhood that is truly who we really are. And as, day by day, you take from your Source all the inspiration, all the wisdom teaching that will come to you through your contact, you can begin to really emanate like a sun and bless life in all domains, in all dimensions where you abide—in your families, in your communities, in your work, in your play. And simply by beingness and the warmth of your heart, which is the center-point through which that Solar Presence emanates in this plane, the magnet of love and mercy and joy will be so stupendous that it will also help to nourish other souls through the sun presence who you are.

Self-Realization is the Goal of our Spiritual Path

The goal of our spiritual path has always been Self-realization—the “s” being a capital “S” as our Higher Self. And if we put too much trust in gurus, messengers, individuals outside of ourselves who, yes, may have a contact and an ability to convey the wisdom teaching but we do not fully take that and inculcate it, assimilate it and then manifest it, we are not living the spiritual lives that we came to earth to really live and to be fulfilled within. So no matter what wisdom teaching you study, what you identify with, always realize that all of this is simply a tool for you to become fully who you are as a God Self-realized son, daughter of God in your own right.
Jesus said, “Ye are gods!”1  And he reminded those in Palestine that he was proclaiming his Sonship only as an example for all to then go and do likewise—that he was not an exception, he was not special except for the fact that he accepted who he was. And so if we accept who we are—not out of ego but we proclaim our divinity in the same way—from the point of humility, from the point of knowing that God is the doer and that of ourselves we can do nothing—of our lower selves we can do nothing, of our Higher Selves we can do all things through Christ, through Buddha who strengthens and nurtures us²—then we can fulfill the greater works that Jesus said that we would do because he went to his Father, he ascended to his Source, to his God Presence, and merged fully with that.³

Merging with the Divine Through Your Soul Experience

Each day you can take a moment to simply be still in silence and meditate and merge with your Source. It's a simple spiritual practice of seeing the light fully where you are and seeing the merging of your soul with the Spirit. It's not the merging of your lesser self as the ego, or the notself, with the Higher Self. It's the soul, which is the point of reference through which you experience life and all of the rounds and incarnations that you've had in all embodiments.
So the soul is that feminine potential. It is that point of reality through which experience and awareness is manifest in all planes of being. And as we get to know our soul as this feminine potential of God and we see that soul as a great pearl of light rising into the greater Oversoul, or Overpearl, of our Higher Self, when this merging really becomes enfired through a greater permanency by our acceptance of who we are, then there is a great conflagration of light. And the sun and the sunniness of who we are shines forth in a most beautiful manifestation of glory.
This is what we live for. And as we study the teachings of Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov and of others who have realized that through solar meditation and through gazing upon the sun properly in the morning, that first hour as it comes over the horizon and through complete identification with our Source as we allow and accept this Presence to be fully who and where and why and when and what we are, then our lives will be fulfilled. The little things that have burdened us will drop away. We won't sweat, as they say, the small things, but we will imbibe the great things through the breath of the Holy Spirit.

                                                Kuan Yin, Our Cosmic Mother

Kuan Yin, when you allow her to actually inhabit your being, gives you all the answers, provides all the discriminating wisdom, all of these wisdoms that we invoke in our Golden Buddha Rosary. She contains all of them—the all-pervading wisdom, the mirror-like wisdom, the wisdom of equality, the discriminating wisdom, the all-accomplishing wisdom.
These wisdoms of the Five Dhyani Buddhas are all contained within the magnificence of Kuan Yin's heart because she is the great Bodhisattva. She is for the earth, and especially for the East, a Cosmic Mother who mothers life.
We know that our mothers, our human mothers, had wisdom. And sometimes we didn't always listen to our mother's wisdom and we got into trouble. But then later we realized how wise our mothers were because they had a whole life before them of going through some of the same things that we then went through. And they were trying to help us to avoid pain, suffering, problems, getting into trouble.
Well, Kuan Yin is this great brooding Mother for the entire earth who has all of this wisdom locked within her heart. And in her great wisdom, she has chosen the flame of mercy and forgiveness to be as a starfire, emblematic representation and point of reference that flows through all that she does, all who she is to bless life. And if we really want our karma dissolved, we will develop a merciful heart, a merciful attitude toward others.

Non-Reaction through Presence is the Key

We no longer react and judge and are consternated when things happen to us and around us that seemingly cause pain or suffering. But when in reality if we simply didn't react and we remained in presence, in harmony, in stillness and simply said, “Aha, I witness what is going on with my child or with a friend who is reacting. And I'm not going to enter into that level of reaction by giving it energy and focus and by amplifying it by my own awareness. But I'm simply going to rest in presence. I'm going to observe it in a very nonjudgmental and objective way and I am going to allow Kuan Yin to resonate and emanate through me her wisdom such that I can raise my child, my spouse and others who may be going through these challenges,” by simply my being in presence and harmony and love, these issues would dissolve and all would be okay.
Now it's easier said than done because we have points that get pressed over and over that we react to, and we have not always passed our tests. And
until these buttons are transmuted that other people press, it's easy for us to lapse back into these points of non-presence or unreality or reaction that after we react we say, “Ah, I did it again.” And “Oh, I haven't fully learned my lesson” or “I didn't pass my test.”
Well, what will get us to that point of non-reaction, non-duality? I believe that if we take time each day in stillness to enter the heart of God and, for those who desire, to enter the heart of Kuan Yin and to allow her or Mother Mary or any lady master to simply abide even for a minute or five or ten fully within our presence, that there will be the dissolving of these buttons and these points that get pressed and get highlighted again and again until we can master them.
And we can ask Kuan Yin to show us in advance or to help us through prescience, pre-“science,” through an awareness even ahead of time of what is coming—because we are so sensitive to energy fields that we even sense the initiation, the test, the thrust of energy that may be upon us—when it is coming [so] that we can simply be still, we can enter that point of presence and not react because Kuan Yin is so wise and the ascended masters [are wise.]
There is no time and space. And they know when the cycles of light and darkness are returning to us. They can help us. We can be in that point of presence, and then we can avert or preclude these problems and reactions that bring us so much pain or suffering or karma-making that we want to get out of.
I have received numerous emails [in which] there's a continuing dialogue at times that people have where they are reacting to what someone said or to a teaching that they believe is untrue or false or to some situation. We can all take this to heart and realize—so what? So what? What is that to thee? Follow thou me.4 If I remain in presence, so what if someone says something that could injure my human ego. If I'm really in presence and they say something that in the past used to hurt, from a point of non-reaction it just passes right through and it doesn't have to burden me.
So watch your speech. Watch your thoughts. Watch your feelings. Watch your emails. Watch how you interact and communicate with others. And see how, day by day, through meditation and through a stillness—even while you're active, even while you're doing the dishes or helping your children or whatever it is that you're doing—from that point of presence you can get the best of the situation and you can master the dweller. You can master your own lower nature and you can move on because Kuan Yin's merciful heart has provided the great option of this blessedness in presence to help us move beyond where we have been in the past.
So this is the teaching that she would like for us to have. You know, as we move through our spiritual pathway, as we gain greater and greater skeins of light by doing our spiritual practices and we have more power in our auras from our causal body because we continue to invoke light, we have to be very careful that we do not misqualify the energy that we have been given—and that we hopefully maintain—by little slip-ups like this because they can be inroads for great darkness because of how much power and light we hold and we carry in our auras and our consciousness.
So a word to the wise is sufficient that the more light you invoke, the more you enter into presence, the more subtle the tests are and the more it is incumbent upon ourselves to really maintain that point of presence and integrity, humility and being in a nurturing spirit such that we can never be used as a tool for the forces of division or derision to divide us. God bless you.
