Kuan Yin Shares Teachings on Maintaining a Merciful Heart amidst Duality.

Avalokitesvara's release of Light was delivered through David Christopher Lewis messenger for the Ascended Masters.

Kuan Yin known as the Mother of Mercy in the East, has been worshipped by Buddhists for thousands of years. She is the greatest of Bodhisattvas and embodies the totality of compassion for humanity. She removes obstacles, erases past offenses, dispenses mercy, healing and spiritual graces, while always meeting the true inner needs of the soul.

"Hearer of Sounds"

Her shortened Chinese name,  Kuan Yin, means “Hearer of Sounds.” Her full name, Kuan Shih Yin,  means “Hearer of the World’s Sounds.” According to Eastern tradition, when Kuan Yin was about to enter heaven, as she stood on the very threshold, she could hear the cries of humanity. She did not enter but returned to help all who suffer in the earth plane. The term “Hearer of Sounds" can also be translated as “perceiver” or “regarder” of the world’s sounds. She is known in much of Asia as a divine emanation that answers the prayers of those who faithfully call upon her name.

Kuan Yin removes obstacles, erases past offenses, dispenses mercy, healing and spiritual graces, while always meeting the true inner needs of the soul.

Bodhisattva of Compassion

One of her many titles is Bodhisattva of Compassion. Bodhisattva is a Sanskrit word—bodhi meaning "enlightenment"  and sattva translated as "reality" or "existence." A bodhisattva is an enlightened being who has vowed to forgo higher realms and full liberation in order to assist those still struggling in the physical world. A bodhisattva cultivates virtue and pursues his/her spiritual career while on a path of self-sacrifice for the welfare of others and gives compassionate, loving service to humanity and to all sentient life. A bodhisattva (P’u Sa in Chinese) can be a person still in embodiment or a celestial being like Kuan Yin. At this highest transcendent level, the title is mahasattva.

Kuan Yin Mercy Prayer

Kuan Yin is a cross-cultural, nondenominational figure revered by many spiritual and religious traditions around the world. She serves the aspirants of all spiritual heritages and paths. Those who espouse a concept of an impersonal, formless divinity see her as an expression of the essence of compassion, or as a symbol of it. Others who acknowledge a personal Godhead view her as a divine embodiment of this virtue. Some view her as both the impersonal and personal manifestations of divine compassion, with no contradiction. She nurtures the growth of this quality in us through our devotions and our interpersonal relationships with others.

Commentary:

Compassion in Action Is the Means whereby Mercy Will Win

The Avatar Delivers through an Exact Science Mercy's Portion—
Her Prescription of Peace

1.  As you grow into your spiritual office of teaching higher truth, tenderize the teachings for lost souls with a greater flavoring of mercy.

Mercy provides a catalyst for inner change in a way that is not caustic but defuses the ego with spiritual aikido. The seasoning of her love is sublime, pinpointing within you those areas where you have become unconscious of love and then infusing the essence of mercy such that you will feel new life in every quarter and be drawn naturally into higher light.

2.  The angels of mercy offer divine enticements for souls to exit samsara, but need those willing to deliver Mercy's sacred delights.

To be a carrier of the divine missives of mercy, you must be willing to weather every condition that besets the homes of those for whom your message is meant and the route that you must walk in presence to deliver it. Though your route may be the same each day, the missive is not. When a soul is ready for that exact letter that will bring her great delight, you, being the sacred bearer, will earn the great good karma of fulfilling the dharma of being the instrument of the conveyance of that light.

3.  Fortunate are those who take Mercy's hand when first offered.

Every rejection of heaven's way weaves a thin veil of karmic dust around those who have not listened. Thus it becomes more difficult for the soul to fully embrace the Lord of love, the Lady of light who comes to secure that soul in permanence. And thus each new delivery of mercy must contain within it the correlative amount of fiery love to dissolve the greater layers of darkness that have beset the soul. Those who are observant of this process understand the necessity to create more wondrous potions whereby mercy may move the heart. Seeded with the great God-concepts of inner change, these, when drunk by the wayward one, may flash forth within them a vista that takes them out of their cocoon.  The seasoned ones who understand the science of adeptship can aid blessed Mercy in this alchemy of saving souls.

4.  Absorb the arrows of hostility with Mercy's shield. Next, dissolve the archers' bows with her fiery love. Finally, convert the bowmen with her supreme compassion.

This three-step process of defusing darkness you may employ in any given challenge, for it is not always possible to secure your victory in one battle. Strategies of the charge, the retreat and the final surge must be carefully planned. And then when the enemy is finally subdued, welcome that one as friend and brother by the holy oil of mercy that you provide.

5.  Repulsion toward any being is not the way or the wave of Mercy.

You may repulse the ideations of darkness even as you embrace the sender. Cognize this difference in your work and you will not be smitten by the stings that may affect you when you are unaware. This is the divine analysis that is acceptable in the eyes of Mercy. The coefficient in the equation is always love. Even the source of the darkness that comes has God within, you know.

6.  To be merciful, first learn to accept your karmic condition and the way out through your dharma. Mercy toward one's self guides you to the selfsame fount of mercy toward all.

What you see within yourself must be highlighted with greater compassion. Holding that pattern within you season after season in mindfulness then allows you to behold mercy within all. Think not that you can save another, but save thyself. For in saving your own skin, your kin also are blessed.

7.  Heaven reaches its verdicts only after every angle of mercy has been viewed, tried and rejected.

“Judgment is mine,” saith the Lord.1 Therefore judge not anyone's motive, for only God knows the heart. Act with surety; the law of love allows all to abide in balance.

8.  The possibilities for Mercy's renderings are endless. Once the obvious opportunities are taken and drawn, then her more profound artistry begins.

Only saving souls is not enough. Once one is set on a new course, then the teaching must proceed swiftly. A new level of mercy may be yours each day. Confiding in God, you will know when mercy may be required of you at each new step. For what you gave yesterday will not suffice for today, and what you sacrificed in yesteryear will not earn your victory during this current cycle. Compassion in action is the means whereby mercy will win.

9.  Reducing criminals' propensities through compassionate communication is one masterful skill within Mercy's repertoire.

Seed the sorrowful minds with my new radiance of mercy today. Though these may lie dormant for a time and a season, when watered by others' love and when conditions are right, the tree will grow and the unconscious will awaken.

10.  Mercy gently pares away the peel to reveal the sweet fruit within.

Would you make this so for yourself? Then allow the great Mother with her paring knife to work on you each morning. She knows the fruit of which you are composed, and she would eat of the substance of who you are. For as you are ingested by Mercy, then you may fully become who she is.

11.  Every avatar has a complete understanding of and with Mercy.

Mercy may appear through the holy one with sword drawn to decry anger and spite. But she may also win over with her wiles the ones to whom she is sent with a sweet caress and healing oil. The avatar knows what is needed and, abiding in the holy will, delivers through an exact science Mercy's portion—yes, her perfect way, her prescription of peace.
