Kuan Yin known as the Mother of Mercy in the East, has been worshipped by Buddhists for thousands of years. She is the greatest of Bodhisattvas and embodies the totality of compassion for humanity. She removes obstacles, erases past offenses, dispenses mercy, healing and spiritual graces, while always meeting the true inner needs of the soul.

"Hearer of Sounds"

Her shortened Chinese name,  Kuan Yin, means “Hearer of Sounds.” Her full name, Kuan Shih Yin,  means “Hearer of the World’s Sounds.” According to Eastern tradition, when Kuan Yin was about to enter heaven, as she stood on the very threshold, she could hear the cries of humanity. She did not enter but returned to help all who suffer in the earth plane. The term “Hearer of Sounds" can also be translated as “perceiver” or “regarder” of the world’s sounds. She is known in much of Asia as a divine emanation that answers the prayers of those who faithfully call upon her name.

Kuan Yin removes obstacles, erases past offenses, dispenses mercy, healing and spiritual graces, while always meeting the true inner needs of the soul.

Bodhisattva of Compassion

One of her many titles is Bodhisattva of Compassion. Bodhisattva is a Sanskrit word—bodhi meaning "enlightenment"  and sattva translated as "reality" or "existence." A bodhisattva is an enlightened being who has vowed to forgo higher realms and full liberation in order to assist those still struggling in the physical world. A bodhisattva cultivates virtue and pursues his/her spiritual career while on a path of self-sacrifice for the welfare of others and gives compassionate, loving service to humanity and to all sentient life. A bodhisattva (P’u Sa in Chinese) can be a person still in embodiment or a celestial being like Kuan Yin. At this highest transcendent level, the title is mahasattva.

Kuan Yin Mercy Prayer

Kuan Yin is a cross-cultural, nondenominational figure revered by many spiritual and religious traditions around the world. She serves the aspirants of all spiritual heritages and paths. Those who espouse a concept of an impersonal, formless divinity see her as an expression of the essence of compassion, or as a symbol of it. Others who acknowledge a personal Godhead view her as a divine embodiment of this virtue. Some view her as both the impersonal and personal manifestations of divine compassion, with no contradiction. She nurtures the growth of this quality in us through our devotions and our interpersonal relationships with others.

On January 13, 2008 Kuan Yin began delivering a series called Missives of Mercy for those who would be bodhisattvas of love. In these releases of light, she desired to direct the currents of mercy into the deepest recesses of our consciousness. By our reverent and respectful attentiveness to this flame of compassion and forgiveness, she will weave a garland of light around the Earth. View list

Begin to Understand a Greater Measure of the Mercy
That Is Required for True Healing at All Levels

Yes, I have brought you to my heart, my friends. And from within the secret chamber of my heart, I radiate to all people upon this island, back to the mainland and to all nations, the flame of mercy. Mercy as a flame impels all to accept the divine within all. For when you accept mercy within your heart, all life receives that transforming power that says, "You are welcome. You are acceptable in the eyes of God. And though you may be a beggar, or in the past, one whose works and words have not always been of the highest order, yet through mercy you are accepted this day."
Beloved ones, those who seek for mercy will find it within my heart, will find it at the hand of my angels who are ever there to bless and heal. For we answer every call, every prayer, every holy request, especially at the bequest of the mothers and their children and those who understand the necessity for constant prayer for all life.
Mercy is a flame that cannot be quenched except when through an ignorance of the divine within, that light may be left off. Do not leave off of your tending of this flame, my beloved ones. So, when you understand even the teaching of the tree of life and the sephirot, you understand the importance of mercy for balance in the universe. For justice and mercy always go hand in hand.
And if, by the letter of the law, mankind require certain measures to be meted out unto a soul for the mistakes made, then I, too, am there to temper that law with the holy grace from my heart. Would that the penal institutions could receive an infusion and an understanding of mercy's love whereby inmates are tutored in meditation as in certain methods-Vipassana and others-that teach a simple way of communion with the inner reality of the soul. Would that lives would not be ignored who need the touch and the hand of mercy.
So, pray and remember the millions within these institutions; for they, too, need your prayers, your spiritual support and not only those who know somewhat of the way of truth. There are those within the penal systems who can assist many of their brothers and sisters who have temporarily lost their way if they are given the opportunity. For once the conversion is made possible for one, then many also may receive that conversion of heart, of a life that must move forward at some level.
So, beloved ones, you will see my flame expanded as a golden age does come, whereby compassion is the norm and mercy is self-evident in all the works of those who would bring about the seventh age of Saint Germain. So when you give your violet flame decrees and prayers, remember the quality of mercy, streaming forth from your heart, streaming forth in full measure to my people in the East, echoing back to the West. For when you receive that echo in reverberation from this people who pray to my heart, you, too, will begin to understand a greater measure of the mercy that is required for true healing at all levels.
Beloved ones, see through my eyes, see through my heart how mercy may work its work through you. Be merciful to one another. Be kind. Be gentle. Be tender in your regard for the souls of each one, in your communities. And, most of all, remember the children-yes, the children. Why, you have noticed that even here, in this place, I dance and sing with the children, for I would bring all to my heart. And if only in a little fun and frivolity, they experience the joy of a day in and around my presence, then all the better-yes, all the better for their souls. For when they come here, you see, I place drops of mercy within their souls that one day will spring forth in full measure for their victory.
Beloved hearts, I ask you to extend your hands now out to bless all upon Taiwan and on the mainland. I, Kuan Yin, pour my love through these my devotees, through their chakras, their hearts, their hands, their feet. Blaze forth the flame of mercy to all. Blaze forth compassionate wisdom to my people, O God. Blaze forth, cosmic peace. And let there be the sealing of each one's mission in life to be a lotus of love for me.
I pour out now my vase of mercy upon your heads this day. May you be washed clean, may you be sanctified and may this baptism of water and of fire be for you the beginning of a new life lived in mercy. I thank you and bid you good day.
