Where is the center or "brain" of emotional intelligence?
    Heart (4)
     100%
    Solar Plexus (0)
     0%
    Spine (0)
     0%
I took a course last weekend on how to find your heart note, the note that resonates with your heart and helps strengthen it and thereby strengthen all your organs. It was an E for me. The course instructor, Harold G. Moses, said that for 80% of women, it's an A. The way to find it is to tone an Ohhhh or Ahhhh from high to low pitch and have someone feel your back directly behind your heart. As you tone that person will feel a vibration when you reach the heart note. Play a piano key to find out which note it is.

The reason I bring this up is because Mr. Moses teaches that the heart is the center of emotional intelligence, just as the HeartMath Institute teaches. I can see arguments for both theories, heart and solar plexus, being the emotional center. Someone could even argue that the spine, which is the center of energy in motion is the e-motional center. Dancing can evoke emotions. But I think it is the center of will, which is necessary for action.

I'd like to open this up for debate. Also I'd like to take a poll. Please share your thoughts and vote.

    Hi Wayne,

Thanks for this post. Based on my understanding and use of HeartMath, as well as my intuition, I'm inclined to agree with Mr. Moses. My inner sense tells me that the seat of emotional intelligence is the pink flame in the heart. It is where an individual's emotional intelligence is most refined, and also reflects the pink band of the causal body.

Wayne, One cannot feel emotion in the Spine or solar plexus. Pain yes. The Heart is ,in my opinion,
the intelligent emotional body. Sometimes it is not
intelligent because it gets hurt or broken.Still the heart is where all the action is.
